2016 Rugby Prep

The 2016 Rugby Prep Program is designed to deliver technical, tactical, and sport science support to female rugby players between the ages of 15 to 18. This program is aimed to develop the female rugby game in Southern Alberta and to maximize opportunities to get selected for the provincial and national team. Program runs November 8, 2016 to March 3,  2017.

AEP Development Group

The AEP Dev Group has been designed to teach emerging elite athletes the fundamentals of proper strength and conditioning training. Training is held at the University of Lethbridge High Performance Centre and led by the HP Centre strength and conditioning coaches. The AEP Dev group will put athletes on the fast track to apply and join the free AEP.

ASDC SW and the University of Lethbridge High Performance Centre are excited to offer speed and agility training to Lethbridge Football Club. This is an exclusive 15-week training program for U14 to U18 LFC players starting November 17.

2016/17 AEP Fall Intake

The Athlete Enhancement Program (AEP) is the athlete support program of the ASDC Network aimed to provide high-quality sports science support to emerging high performance athletes in their regions. The program develops the foundational building blocks for future performances. AEP provides emerging athletes an opportunity to receive sport science support in;

  • Nutrition

  • Strength & Conditioning

  • Sport Psychology

  • Injury Prevention 

Individuals who have the following experiences qualify for AEP;

  • Alberta Winter Games or Alberta Summer Games

  • Western Canada Summer Games

  • Canada Winter Games or Canada Summer Games

  • Member of Team Alberta, Team Canada, or Jr. Team Canada

  • Member of a Developmental Team Alberta

  • Athletes in the “Training to Train” or “Training to Compete” levels of the Long Term Athlete Development Model with the above experience

  • “Train to Win” level athletes may also be considered, preference given to younger athletes 

Athletes who meet the above criteria will be required to attend an intake selection testing October 3rd and 4th, 2016. Deadline for applications is September 30th, 2016.
