Athlete Enhancement Program – Speed & Agility

  • Starts: Week of June 14
  • Ends: Week of August 16
  • Training Group: Mon & Wed 
  • Location: University of Lethbridge – Community Stadium
  • Age Group: Born 2003 to 2008 
  • Training Group Size: 12 athletes + 1 coach
  • Time: 6:00 to 6:45PM

The Athlete Enhancement Program (AEP) is Alberta Sport Development Centre SW’s flagship athlete support program aimed to provide high quality training athletes from all sports. Training is delivered by University of Lethbridge Strength and Conditioning Coaches. This AEP – Speed and Agility specific program will focus on the following elements:
  • Lateral (side-to-side speed)
  • Linear (straight ahead)
  • Change of direction (moving in various planes of motion)
  • Deceleration/acceleration (starting/stopping)
Be sure to come prepared for the weather (cold, warm, or hot) with proper clothing and outdoor footwear. Bring your own water. Dates and time may be flexible due to COVID restrictions or weather.   • Age Group: Born 2003 to 2008 
  • Training Group Size: 12 athletes + 1 coach
  • Time: 7:00 to 8:00PM

The Athlete Enhancement Program (AEP) is Alberta Sport Development Centre SW’s flagship athlete support program aimed to provide high quality training to athletes from all sports. Training is delivered by University of Lethbridge Strength and Conditioning Coaches. This AEP – Summer 2021 program will focus on the following elements:
  • Physical preparation
  • Injury prevention
  • Recovery strategies
  • Overall performance
Be sure to come prepared for training indoors with proper clothing and clean footwear. Bring your own water. Dates may be flexible due to COVID restrictions. All participants will be notified through the email they provide when registering. AEP Combo (Speed & Agility + Summer 2021)

The AEP Combo combines the above programs into a complete package. This program is aimed at an individual who has the availability and commitment to training 4 nights a week over the summer months. Individuals who sign up for this would commit to:
  • Monday & Wednesday (Speed & Agility - Stadium) + Tuesday & Thursday (Summer - HP Room)
