Concussion Awareness and Testing

ASDC SW presents the latest information and findings surrounding head injuries. In addition, ASDC SW utilizes concussion testing developed by clinical experts who pioneered the field, ImPACT (Immediate Post-Concussion Assessment and Cognitive Testing) is the most-widely used and most scientifically validated computerized concussion evaluation system.  ImPACT provides trained clinicians with neurocognitive assessment tools and services that have been medically accepted as state-of-the-art best practices -- as part of determining safe return to play decisions.

Pre-season baseline testing is done using the ImPACT computerized concussion evaluation system, with athletes completing a pre-season baseline concussion test. Once a concussion is suspected the athletes returns to complete the same concussion test. Results are immediately provided to the client, who can then share with their doctor to determine treatment.

The ImPACT computerized concussion evaluation system is the first and only concussion-specific solution to be granted medical device clearance by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. ImPACT FDA Clearance
